One of the biggest obstacles college students face is the rising cost of tuition. Attending college is a large investment leaving many with tens of thousands of dollars in debt. Thankfully, there are solutions to help students overcome this obstacle.

Hopefully, you spent quality time with your family and used your time productively teaching your kids, working on a long-neglected home improvement project, or even doing something to give back to the community.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic reached San Antonio in early March, Blue Cares, the non-profit community outreach arm of the San Antonio Police Officer’s Association (SAPOA), has been active helping families financially-impacted by the crisis.

We are at the peak of “Scholarship Season” and the deadline to apply for the 2020 Blue Cares Scholarship is quickly approaching. Blue Cares exists to support underprivileged children in the San Antonio area, and the Blue Cares Scholarship is just one of the ways we do that.

Blue Cares takes pride in assisting and providing services to underprivileged and at-risk children and their families throughout San Antonio year-round. Each year, that number of children and families grows, which makes Blue Cares programs that more essential.

The summer months of the year are meant to be filled with fun outdoor activities, but they can also be filled with fun activities that make a difference. Encourage your teens to be more active in activities that serve a valuable purpose this summer.
