Police officers see children and families in need every day, especially around the holidays. The Blue Cares’ Blue Santa Program, in partnership with the San Antonio Police Officers Association, raises money to purchase toys for underprivileged children.
Through this program, police officers are able to show the community how much the men and women in blue truly love to give back. On very cold Saturday, December 11, 2021, donated toys and gift cards were given out during the Blue Cares’ Blue Santa Drive-Thru Toy Distribution Event at the Northside Activity Center.
During the 2021 Christmas Season, the Blue Cares’ Blue Santa program gave more than 3,000 gifts to more than 1,500 children in the San Antonio area.
