ABOUT THE GRANT
Every day, San Antonio Police Officers work hard to serve and protect our community and give back to those in need. Within the last year and a half, our police officers have been at the forefront of witnessing resource disparities that significantly hurt families. Our hope is to provide funding assistance to show the community that we want to give back, advance trust, and rebuild a stronger and more resilient city.
Blue Cares and the San Antonio Police Officer’s Association are pleased to announce a one-time funding opportunity available to San Antonio-based non-profits that have been adversely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This $100,000 grant opportunity gives priority to non-profits, schools, and faith-based organizations with deep roots in the community and a track record of working with vulnerable populations. The amount of the award varies based on the immediate need for funding.

GUIDELINES FOR 2022 APPLICATION
Please ensure that the application is completed to its entirety. Failure to complete application will result in automatic disqualification from the process. All applications will be reviewed on rolling basis in the order in which they are received.
Applications are strictly for community and non-profit organizations and will require IRS documentation. The grant is solely focused on providing funding for projects throughout the 2022 calendar year.
Funding provided through the grant will not be awarded for one-time projects.

Who will be deciding on the grant awards?
Internal staff will be deciding on grant awards, including leadership from the San Antonio Police Officer’s Association.
How will I know if my application went through?
Once an application has been submitted, the applicant will obtain a confirmation email indicating that the application has been received.
What if I mess up on my application?
If you have already submitted an application and need to make changes, please resend in a pdf format.
Can I include multiple projects on one application?
Yes, you may include multiple projects on one application. Projects must be ongoing throughout the year.
When will I find out if my organization was awarded the grant?
Award decisions will be emailed and mailed.
